Yashti Glycyrrhiza glabra Root

Indications: Cough with expectoration, dry cough, hoarseness of voice, asthma, peptic ulcer, oral ulcers, PCOS, burning micturition,   and body heat.

Glycyrrhiza glabra accelerates the healing of stomach linings. It enhances expectoration and eases mucous removal in bronchitis. Glycyrrhiza is helpful in relieving asthma by its anti allergic properties.  Glycyrrhizin or its metabolites acts on the enzymes that converts 17-hydroxy progesterone to androstenedione effectively lowering testosterone levels and helps in Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome.

Dosage: 1 – 5 gm once or twice a day after food with warm water.
